Clustering using sharing of VMDK's between virtual machines



This Post contains Details regards to setup shared Disks Between 2 nodes

to start with Both VMs should be in the power down state.

go ahead and add New disk -  Disk should be a Thick Provisioned Eger Zeroed Disk

Select SCSI controller as a New one – Change Type to Paravirtual and Bus Sharing type to Physical

Once Disk added go to Options -> General -> Configuration Parameters

add Scsix:x:sharing to “multi-writer”

for 2nd VM and Select Existing Disk and Follow the Same.
